Located in the heart of Jersey City’s downtown revival, the Montauk House was originally constructed in 1901 and fell into disrepair after it was abandoned. The adaptive reuse, repurposes the building with 18 residential apartments including a modern rooftop penthouse and 3,000sqft of ground floor retail. The project was the recipient of an Excellence in Preservation award from the Jersey City Landmarks Commission. Inglese Architecture and Engineering provided full services including civil, architectural, structural, MEP, and construction phase administration.
